The effective telling of your client’s story to a jury in court requires communication and performance skills you may not have learned in law school. Theme, construction, and execution are key elements in effective storytelling. All three must be clear, concise, and compelling. Using a case fact pattern, workshop participants will study communication skills and persuasion techniques tailored to courtroom trial performance. To that aim, we will explore vocal work, physical gesture, and spatial/courtroom awareness skills. We will then apply these skills in the presentation of “mini” opening statements. Strengthen your storytelling skills while developing clear, intentional connections with members of the jury, empowering them to deliberate on behalf of your client.
